It's better to give than to receive??

I came home from work today and opened my mailbox..and to my surprise was a package ....

I hadn't ordered anything..It wasn't my birthday...what could it be???

The package was a old McCall's pattern. Hmmmm.....I couldn't imagine what or who it could be from but how exciting!! I opened it up and it was wrapped in pattern paper!! I am thinking...wow! this is great! I love this!!

I open the wrapping and inside I find this absolutely lovely piece of artwork..

A gift from my new friend Kimberly
I had participated in her Pay it Forward and this is what she sent me....OMG!!
I am totally loving this!
I need to say, I have been feeling a bit down lately, somewhat depressed to be honest, and Kimberly should know how much this gift was appreciated, and lifted my spirits...Thank you Kimberly!! I will hang it with pride and enJOY looking at it every day!!

I have always lived by the motto "it is better to give, than to receive" and I truly believe that, but it this case I have to say...
It was a REAL PLEASURE to have RECIEVED!!

Now there are 2 spots left in my pay it forword, so if you are interested in participating just click here.....

Remember, there is NO pressure, or time limit!!  so why not...
Grab a chance to make someones day!!!

Precious Cheryl,

Isn't it so wonderful to receive a gift from a friend? Are you fairly new to blogging? Because I have been blogging for two years now, and I have to say that the blogging community is full of extremely beautiful and giving people. My best friends are in Blogland!!! I think because bloggers make an effort to communicate and of course the ABSENCE and distance add to make up for that gap...but it is so lovely...and I am sorry to hear that you were feeling depressed. That happens to us all but I tell you, blog friends are so wonderful and once you cultivate more relationships, it is such a blessing. Thank you for visiting tonight and leaving such kind words. That is another thing; bloggers often take time to THINK things out before they say something...not everyone of course...because I have know of some people leaving mean comments...a hit and run sort of thing! But for the most part, bloggers want to communicate kind things!! I am so glad you stopped by. Enjoy every thing you give and receive...Blessings to you, Anita

I see my beautiful friend Anita came by to see you.
Now THAT IS ONE GENUINE LADY. LOVE HER. She's one of the ladies I have invited to come here this summer. I have 6 for sure coming. It's all because of blogging.

Oh that is lovely to pass it on and to do things like that. I just sent something to a mutual blogging friend of ours, Claudie (above me in the comments). lol I can't wait for her to get it. I love doing things like that, in fact, I have been on Etsy way too much lately grabbing this and that to send off to wonderful people that have touched my life. You were obviously very deserving of this!

Cheers

Hi, Cheryl
I received your comment for the 'Pay it Forward' project and also sent you my address. And I have now begun my own 'Pay it Forward' on my blog. So 'Let the games begin!'
Sounds like a lot of fun~
Hope all is well.
