Happy Valentines!!

I had all intentions on making all these valentines this year...and here we are 1 more day to go..and I only managed to finish a few...
Life just gets in the way doesn't it!!
Well, I am pretty happy with the ones I made this year even though there were only a couple.

The first one is called "blue valentine"
She measures about 18" in height and is made of crepe paper, lace, vintage trade card, trim, buttons and some glitter.

The next one, I call "My Deer Heart"

I used a a felt heart and attached ruffled and shredded crepe paper, vintage sheet music and a glittered heart. Then I embellished with a vintage deer, floral picks, bead letters, a brass findings, a silk butterfly, a cameo, and of course!! some glitter!!

I love the color combination of pink and black, so I decided to make these next two with that color combination in mind...

The cone I made with fancy felted paper. It is quite large measures approx. 18" in height. I trimmed the top with these black and pink polka dot napkins I had. Then I layered on top of that ruffled and shredded crepe and vintage tinsel garland. To each side I added a pink feathered bird. I made the Marie doll from a digital altered art image and pipe cleaners, crepe paper and feathers.

This heart was also inspired by the pink and black color theme.
I used a felt pink heart, and trimmed it with some ribbon and ruffled black and white polka dot crepe paper. I added spray pick flowers and a pink feathered bird. I used a cameo and backed it with layered & ruffled  crepe paper. On the other side of the heat I added vintage sheet music and silk rose.

The box I actually made some time ago, but it seemed so fitting to add it to my valentine collection this year because of the themed sheet music I used. In addition, I added a frozen Charlotte head and ruffled layers of crepe paper, and yes as always..some glitter!!!!

Thank you for stopping by. I would love to hear from you!!! I hope you enjoyed my 2011 valentines as much as I enjoyed making them!!!
