A White Winter

I know most people  think of winter as cold and depressing. I am one of the few who actually loves the snow. I find something so peaceful and serene about it. There is nothing like the beginning moments of a first snowfall!!

A day of Inspiration & Rejuvenation

Every once in a while, we need to take a day for ourselves.
To just do whatever comes to mind..whether it be sitting at home drinking a cup of tea and reading a book...Taking a long bath...going to a movie alone...shopping and taking as much time as you want in the store without worrying someone is waiting for you... I think it is a very healthy thing to do.... Good for the mind and spirit!! I say!!

That is how I had planned to spend this day..Saturday, January 15...all by myself...some trips to my favorite stores....dinner at home alone...and maybe a movie....I really was looking forward to it!!
Funny how things all change with a phone call..or two...
So my good friends MaryJean and Diane, joined me for lunch.




It was sooo relaxing no one was in a hurry, or had to be anywhere, so we could just relax and really enjoy some good conversation and a wonderful meal....

I had this spinach and cheese pizzette thing and the best feta cheese and artichoke poppers!! (so I need to admit that the poppers were eaten so quickly that I did not get a chance to photograph them...but trust me...they were great)

MaryJean had a ham and cheese quiche with potato soup...

Diane had Pork Sliders...but ummm I was too busy eating the poppers, and didn't get a chance to photograph hers either...

After that we went to Michaels...and shopped every single isle...filled our carts and could not believe we were in the store for several hours..how time flies when you are having fun....

MaryJean and Diane had to go, so we parted ways...onto my next adventure...

Barnes and Noble.. A stack full of magazines, a verde mocha latte and probably the best red velvet cupcake I ever had..later.... I realized I had been in that store for over 2 hours....yikes.....it was time to go home...





Here are some of my purchases of the day!! What fun!!! Can wait to get further inspired by the magazines, and do some crafting with my purchases!!
(Note: I couldn't show everything, because some were gifts for one of my bestest girlfriends, and after all it wouldn't be a surprise if she saw them on here!! heeheheehee!!!)




So here I am home, safe and sound all by myself..still full from lunch...reflecting on my day...not by myself, but with some very good friends, feeling totally refreshed and rejuvenated!!
So thank you MaryJean & Diane, I had a wonderful day and am happy you shared it with me!!!

BTW...I bought this stamp today...I had too!! It seemed so appropriate!!!
