Art Opera

Well it less than two weeks!!! The word on the street is, this is going to be an affair to remember!!! Everyone I talk to knows about it!!!! So looking  forward to it!!! They coined the phrase.."are you excited yet"!! OMG!! Are we!!! The surprises Lisa has in store are incredible!! She has worked so hard!! To make this a special event for all involved!! Saturday & Sunday, April 10th & 11th. 11:00am-5pm. Spring Fling!!! The Antique Shop and District is having lots of food, refreshments and sales, some with discounts up to 30% off merchandise!! There also will be workshops. Monmouth Antiques will hold our workshop Saturday, April 10th at 12:30pm.

BUSY BEE TODAY!!!!

Very busy day!! Up very early today. Mailed invites for ..Monmouth Antique Shoppes "Spring Fling" Weekend  Prepared the cupcake picks for the Art Opera Private Party at the Antique center also. Finished Gift bags....Lots of Pink and Lime Green!! Lots of Glitter too!! Just like I like it!!!

We have such a wonderful weekend planned at the antique center. I can not wait!!! Only 2 weeks and counting!!! We have all kinds of surprises planned for the Art Opera Private Party Friday night!!( If you are wondering what the ART OPERA IS...click here to check them out!!!) And Saturday and Sunday is going to be awesome!! We have all kinds of treats and refreshments!!! Almost finished planning it all out today!!!

Very tired!!! But enjoyed every minute of it!! Had time to go outside and enjoy a little sunshine today!!! A great day!!!!!

Going to bed early tonight! Tomorrow is Arts and Crafts day!!

Spring is in the air!!

What a gorgeous day today!!! Spent most of the day at the antique center. As soon as I arrived home, I could not wait to go outside and do the "walk around my yard" looking for signs of life!! If you love to garden, you know what I mean...I could already see the crocus from my kitchen window...filled me with joy from my toes to the little hairs on the back of my neck...but then there it was...a bud from a daffodil, just about to open..well I had to get my camera and investigate further...The lilacs are showing signs, the roses bushes and the hydrangea too!! The daylilies are also starting to peek through the leaves...OH!! I am so happy!!! Spring is finally in the air!! In the background...softly singing were the chickadees....the goldfish awake and looking for some snacks...it is all starting.....Spring is finally in the air!!

Catching UP!!

Ok..so It has been a couple of days...since I started this..Been very busy..glueing (is that how you spell that?) and glittering!!! I have been very inspired..I would like to thank Lisa K. for that!! (Thank you) The slideshow is the result of my reclusive weekend.  My goal is to try to incorporate all the things I love most into my art.  I think that I accomplished this with my new lovelies!!! Hope you enjoy!!

Now, back to the antique center....yes!! I think I heard the bathroom say thank you! too!!! It was way overdue!! Amazing what a fresh coat of paint will do!! Next is the floor!

I really feel the need to tell you more about myself...but find that it is 11:00 pm and a very long day tomorrow..so for now...thank you for stopping by....hope you enjoyed taking a peak into my world, even if just for a moment!!!

OK..so here we go..my very first blog....I am so new to this world I really didn't not know where to start. I figured this was a good place. Somewhere I could express all the different sides of me all in one place.

I love antiques, I love crafting, I love art, and I love working in my garden. I mostly love combining them all together!!

Hence title page of my blog...Nouveaux Portmanteau (thank you, Lauren). Translation: A combination of different things all in one place. I am still having trouble pronoucing it, but I feel it was a perfect fit!!

So this was just a quick hello...I am off to the Antique Center where I have a booth..to paint the bathroom!! So this is most definitly to be continued........
